The trauma of losing a tooth or teeth can leave you unable to smile with confidence. In some instances, the chewing process can be severely affected and this could leave you without the ability to eat a healthy nutritional diet.
Missing teeth can be replaced with removable dentures, fixed bridges ( stuck to neighboring teeth) or with dental implants. Dental implants replace the missing root as well as the visible, crown of the tooth.
Dental implants serve as the replacement of the root section of a missing tooth. They are made up of surgical grade titanium alloy to exacting measurements.
The dentist inserts the implant into the jaw bone where the titanium then integrates with the bone. This integration process in typically allowed to occur over a 2-4 month period after which the dentist can prepare for the placement of the crown (visible part of the tooth) o to the implant.
Mr. Paraskevopoulos will carry out the placement of your implants, he has a masters degree in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, and has trained extensively in dental implantology. He has been placing implants since 2009.
Here are some examples of the results that Mr. Paraskevopoulos has achieved:
Case 1
A Fractured tooth. Replaced with a single implant and crown.
Case 2
Three front teeth lost. Replaced with two implants supporting a bridge.
Case 3
Lost canine Tooth. Replaced with a single implant and crown.
The placement of an implant typically takes approximately 90 minutes and is performed under local anesthetic. A consultation appointment is required, where the treatment and costs will be discussed in further detail.
